According to Indian media reports, these snakes were found centuries ago in the Gujarat part of India, which has been given the name of Vasuki Index after the name of Vasuki, a snake found in Hindu religion.


The remains of the world's largest snake have been discovered by experts from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR), which has been published in the journal Scientific Reports.
