According to foreign media reports, Heath Streak was suffering from cancer and he was 49 years old. Heath Streak was diagnosed with cancer in May this year.



Zimbabwe captain Shane Williams and former fast bowler Henry Olinga have also confirmed the death of Heath Streak.

Henry Olinga took to his social media to describe Heath Streak as Zimbabwe's great all-rounder, saying, "I'm proud to have played with him, see me on the other side when my bowling spell ends."

Heath Streak was the first Zimbabwean bowler to take 100 wickets, playing 65 Tests and 189 ODIs.

Heath Streak led the Zimbabwe team from 2000 to 2004, taking 445 international wickets and scoring 4933 runs.
